Patio

During the 4th of July weekend we decided to get our patio done. Basically, I was sick of having a huge square of dirt in the middle of the backyard. The girls were constantly digging in it and tracking all of the dirt into the house. So Tyler, being the awesome husband he is agreed to do it. With the help of Tyler's dad, mom and sister we were able to get it done in one day.
Here are some photo's of the day:
Sophie posing for a picture. Behind her is the patio half in rock and half with the paver sand.
The girls milking the day outside for all its worth. They loved playing in the water while everyone else (besides me, who can't lift a thing this pregnancy!) worked.
My manly husband, who resembles a paid worker in that hat, laying the paver stones in a very specific, or as we like to call it "random", pattern. And yes that is Sophie playing in the very expensive paver sand! Guess I will have to get them a sandbox now.
And here is the patio pretty much finished. We only had a couple of more feet to go to get to the edge of the designated area.
We spent the rest of the night, sweeping (yeah, I finally got to help) in the sand between the pavers and cleaning up. It was all done in time for a BBQ on the 4th, however, we didn't get to enjoy our handy work because it rained us out during our BBQ and we had to move our festivities to the garage.
I am so glad that it is finally done though. It is nice to look out back at all of Tyler and his families hard work, instead of a patch of dirt!!

And It's a...

GIRL!
We found out a few weeks ago that we are having another little girl. Tyler was right. Funny thing though, he said this was the one time he doubted his prediction. Guess he shouldn't doubt, we are just pro's at raising girls.

4th of July

We had a really fun 4th. It was overcast and cool! We started out bright and early getting Sophie ready to ride in the parade down Main St. After we dropped her and Tyler off at the dance float, Zoe and I staked out our spot on the already full Main St. Zoe had lots of fun getting the candy and watching all the different things in the parade. It was cute, when she really liked something she would clap. Here are a few pictures of the parade.
Here is Sophie on her float with the rest of the dancers. They jammed out to Katy Perry's Firework song.

Zoe and Grandpa Dan watching Sophie go by.
After the parade we took the girls over to the park for cotton candy and balloon animals then headed home because it started to rain.
At home we had a yummy BBQ (in the garage, because it was raining). Tyler's mom, dad, sister and brother came. We had lots of good food and got to use our new grill. Tyler was very happy about that, he doesn't have to crouch down to cook hamburgers anymore!
The girls had fun playing in the rain while we ate and Aunt Jamie helped them play with the sidewalk chalk. Here they are tracing their bodies.

And Tyler at his new grill!
Later that night we had fireworks out on the road. Sophie and Zoe were both amazed by the little fireworks. At least their easy to please with 20 minutes of mediocore pyrotechnics!

Good News!

Well, I am probably a little late in posting this news. So for those of you who don't know....We're cookin' number 3!! I am 19 weeks and believe it or not this is the only belly picture that I could find. It's Zoe and I at the parade on Monday, and it's not even that great of a shot, but oh well.
I am scheduled for an ultrasound next week so hopefully we can find out the gender of this little bump! Tyler is convinced that it is a girl. He thinks that we are incapable of producing a boy, plus he thinks that playing princesses is so much more fun that G.I. Joes or cars....HaHa!

Sophie's Preschool Celebration

This year Sophie attended preschool. She absolutely loved it and learned a lot throughout the year. Since she is too young for kindergarten she will be going back this fall and she is very excited about that, she loves her teacher, Ms. Natalie.
In May they had an End of Year Celebration where they sang some song that they had learn and then we got to see a slideshow of what they did in the classroom throughout the year. It was so much fun and Sophie was excited to show off what she had learned.
