During the 4th of July weekend we decided to get our patio done. Basically, I was sick of having a huge square of dirt in the middle of the backyard. The girls were constantly digging in it and tracking all of the dirt into the house. So Tyler, being the awesome husband he is agreed to do it. With the help of Tyler's dad, mom and sister we were able to get it done in one day.
Here are some photo's of the day:
Sophie posing for a picture. Behind her is the patio half in rock and half with the paver sand.

The girls milking the day outside for all its worth. They loved playing in the water while everyone else (besides me, who can't lift a thing this pregnancy!) worked.

My manly husband, who resembles a paid worker in that hat, laying the
paver stones in a very specific, or as we like to call it "random", pattern. And yes that is Sophie playing in the very expensive
paver sand! Guess I will have to get them a sandbox now.

And here is the patio pretty much finished. We only had a couple of more feet to go to get to the edge of the designated area.

We spent the rest of the night, sweeping (yeah, I finally got to help) in the sand between the
pavers and cleaning up. It was all done in time for a BBQ on the 4
th, however, we didn't get to enjoy our handy work because it rained us out during our BBQ and we had to move our festivities to the garage.
I am so glad that it is finally done though. It is nice to look out back at all of Tyler and his families hard work, instead of a patch of dirt!!
