4th of July

We had a really fun 4th. It was overcast and cool! We started out bright and early getting Sophie ready to ride in the parade down Main St. After we dropped her and Tyler off at the dance float, Zoe and I staked out our spot on the already full Main St. Zoe had lots of fun getting the candy and watching all the different things in the parade. It was cute, when she really liked something she would clap. Here are a few pictures of the parade.
Here is Sophie on her float with the rest of the dancers. They jammed out to Katy Perry's Firework song.

Zoe and Grandpa Dan watching Sophie go by.
After the parade we took the girls over to the park for cotton candy and balloon animals then headed home because it started to rain.
At home we had a yummy BBQ (in the garage, because it was raining). Tyler's mom, dad, sister and brother came. We had lots of good food and got to use our new grill. Tyler was very happy about that, he doesn't have to crouch down to cook hamburgers anymore!
The girls had fun playing in the rain while we ate and Aunt Jamie helped them play with the sidewalk chalk. Here they are tracing their bodies.

And Tyler at his new grill!
Later that night we had fireworks out on the road. Sophie and Zoe were both amazed by the little fireworks. At least their easy to please with 20 minutes of mediocore pyrotechnics!
