Decorating Cookies

On Saturday we went down to Jamie's house (Tyler's sisters) to decorate Valentine cookies.  This is a yearly tradition that we absolutely love!  This year we had 5 kids and 10 adults to join in the fun.  Sophie had the most fun just eating the frosting that she gobbed onto a couple of cookies and adorned them with a whole bottle of chocolate sprinkles.  Amazingly she only got a little frosting on her sleeve.  How she stayed so clean I will never know.  The picture of all the cookies decorated is a cool pic, but to let you in on a little secret, we didn't even get half the cookies decorated.  We always get overzealous with the baking.

The kids had a blast playing on Aunt Jamie's Wii and Bodie (Sophie's cousin) had lots of fun with Grandpa putting oodles of frosting on the cookies.  The whole family was excited to meet Anna, Jared's girlfriend, and we found that she is a very pleasant girl and kept up with decorating cookies like a pro!  Sophie kissed Baggins (Jamie's dog) on the nose, twice, which was so cute since she is three time bigger than Sophie!

We packed up for home after a simple lunch and later that night Tyler took me to our ward's Valentine's Dance.  We had a blast dancing one song and then sitting out for 2 or 3 (spinning in circles at 8 months pregnant is not very conducive to balance), the gravitational pull from a spinning pregnant belly tends to draw people to you.  We had lots of fun though and it was a treat to have a free date night.  Tyler even remembered to get me flowers and chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's, needless to say I got spoiled!
